The Master Coxswain of the Ghana Navy, Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO) Lawrence Ayelvae has paid a visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on Tuesday, 9 September, 2025 in Tema.
The visit provided platform for open dialogue on welfare, discipline, and professional development.
MCPO Ayelvae underscored the central role of discipline in military life, describing it as the “fulcrum on which the Armed Forces revolves.” He highlighted the necessity for naval personnel to nurture self-discipline and to actively eschew behaviours detrimental to the Navy profession.

He encouraged personnel to take personal responsibility for improving their skills, staying fit, and maintaining high operational standards.
Flag Officer Commanding ENC, Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi commended the initiative of the Master Coxswain, noting that such engagements boost morale, promote cohesion, and encourage professionalism within the Navy.
