The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Southern Command, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Isaac Nicholas Paintsil, has held a conference for Staff Officers and Commanding Officers (COs) under his command on Wednesday 23 July 2025 at the Command Headquarters, Kpeshie Ridge, Teshie.
The conference focused on administrative, logistical and operational matters, as well as tasks for the year under review. It also laid out strategies for the effective execution of responsibilities at the unit level, in line with the strategic direction of the Ghana Army.
Serving as an institutional platform for conceptual-level deliberations, the meeting enabled productive engagement between the GOC, Staff Officers and Commanders, culminating in key policy decisions for the Command.
Brig Gen Paintsil also used the occasion to outline his vision, policy guidelines, and strategic direction for all units under Southern Command. He emphasised the importance of synergy among units to ensure operational dominance and effective response to threats within their respective Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR).
