The fourth Ghanaian Company (GHANCOY 4) under the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB) has conducted a medical outreach for the Quenhaque Community in the Cacheu Region on Thursday, 11 September 2025.
The outreach offered health education, medical consultations and free medication with a total of about 203 locals which includes children receiving free medical care. The team also supplied potable drinking water to the community to help ease the persistent water shortage in the Quenhaque Community.

The Combat Team Commander of GHANCOY 4, Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, explained that the outreach forms part of efforts to strengthen a cordial relationship with the local communities. He added that such initiatives support a broader objective of ESSMGB in fostering peace, stability and development in Guinea-Bissau.
The Chief of Quenhaque, Mr Licy Cumba, expressed gratitude to GHANCOY 4 and ESSMGB, describing the outreach as a timely intervention and the first of its kind in the community.
