The 4 Medical Reception Station (4 MRS), has conducted a sensitization programme and Breast Cancer screening exercise for its personnel at the OB Akwa Auditorium, Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi on Friday, 10 October 2025.
The sensitization formed part of efforts to educate participants on the importance of regular breast care and early detection of breast cancer. It also provided an opportunity for attendees to seek medical advice and ask questions related to their health and well-being.
The Officer in Charge of the 4 MRS Maternity Ward, Flight Lieutenant Georgina Prah Asamoah led the education session and addressed common myths surrounding breast cancer. She encouraged regular self-examination and urged all and sundry to report any unusual changes to health professionals without delay, rather than waiting for the annual awareness month to seek screening.
She emphasized that early detection remains the most effective way to manage and treat breast cancer successfully.
