The Retired Commissioned Officers Association (RCOA) have named the anteroom at the Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG) Club House ‘Colonel Coker Appiah Hall’, during their third quarter buffet lunch on Saturday 21 September 2024.

The Guest of Honour and Chairman of the VAG Board Major General Clayton Yaache (Rtd) in his address stated the need to honour the vision and hard work of the late Colonel Coker Appiah by naming the anteroom after him.

He added that the late Officer dedicated his efforts to planning, designing, and supervising the construction of the RCOA anteroom, demonstrating his patronage of clubhouse services. He also appreciated the efforts of previous Army Chiefs and other generals in beautifying the clubhouse.

The President of RCOA, Brigadier General Samuel Yanyi-Akofur in an address, emphasised the need for veterans and retired officers to participate in RCOA social activities because loneliness increases depression, anxiety, and dementia risk.
