A delegation from the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA), led by the Transport Manager, Mr Asafo Adjei has paid a working visit to the Defence Mechanical Transport Battalion (DEF MT BN) on Thursday, 11 September 2025. The visit was aimed at understanding the best practices of the Battalion and taking recommendations thereof for the organisational improvement of GPHA. Commanding Officer DEF MT BN, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Kojo Abakah Quansah stated that the unit prioritises transport tasks, efficiently manage transport work tickets and Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants. He proposed joint training and exercises, policy and strategic alignment, and technology integration to enhance stronger civil-military collaboration. Mr Asafo Adjei expressed gratitude to the Commanding Officer and personnel of DEF MT BN for the knowledge shared and stated that such would serve as a valuable guide to the operations of GPHA.
