Officers acquire knowledge in intelligence cycle

The General Headquarters, Department of Defence Intelligence (GHQ DI) has organised a six- week Basic Officers Intelligence Course at the Defence Intelligence Training Centre in Burma Camp.

The course was aimed at providing a comprehensive foundation in intelligence work. It covered the intelligence cycle including emotional intelligence, surveillance, counterintelligence, security operations and threat analysis.

The Acting Chief of Defence Intelligence, Brigadier General Stephen Kweku Woseadzikpo Parbey stated the importance of foundational learning for success in the intelligence field. He encouraged the course participants to learn from superiors and experienced colleagues in intelligence, use literature and internet technology to enhance their skills.
