Director Education pays familiarisation visit to the School of Education

The Ghana Armed Forces Director of Education, Colonel (Col) Shanun Osman Zuneidu has paid a familiarisation visit to the School of Education under the Ghana Armed Forces Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) at Whistler Barracks in Teshie on Thursday 31 July 2025.

The Commanding Officer at the School of Education, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Hilda Asiedu, delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the administrative, operational and infrastructural state of the school. She also outlined both short and long-term development plans and highlighted key challenges impacting the institution’s training and operations.

Col Zuneidu commended the officers, soldiers and civilian staff for their dedication and hard work despite the existing challenges. He also applauded their efforts in bringing tertiary education closer to personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces through the school’s affiliation with the University of Education, Winneba.

As part of the visit, Col Zuneidu toured classrooms, inspected facilities and visited proposed project sites within Whistler Barracks to gain a deeper understanding of the school’s infrastructure and development prospects.

Earlier, he paid a courtesy call on the Commandant TRADOC, Commodore Maxwell Arhen where he was congratulated and encouraged to leverage his position to advocate for the necessary support and interventions to address the school’s pressing needs.
